With high water and a strong current on the Raquette River, 792 yellow rubber ducks accompanied by their Rotary Club and community duck wranglers in canoes and kayaks provided an exciting race on Saturday, July 8, near Ives Park during the Potsdam Summer Festival.

The club sends a special thank you to all who sponsored a racing duck, purchased a duck novelty or rubber duck t-shirt. Your generosity will be reflected in a child's smile and laughter at the annual Rotary Camp at Dodge Pond.

St. Lawrence Country Rotary Clubs in Massena, Ogdensburg, Canton, and Potsdam work cooperatively to raise funds to send special needs area youth to NYSARC's Dodge Pond camp for week in August at no cost to their family. Funds raised by the Potsdam Rotary Rubber Duck Race go primarily to support this worthy cause. Additional proceeds are used to support other worthy community projects and causes supported by Potsdam Rotary.
