Dec. 23, 2023 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Our club will be again staffing the Potsdam Area Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign on Saturday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Potsdam Price Chopper. We again envision Rotarians working in pairs (or trios) to make it more fun and promote fellowship. You can bring your family or friends too! (This is also a great opportunity to bring a non-Rotarian and get them interested in Rotary!) The shifts are two hours each: 10 a.m.-noon Our goal is to get each of the four shifts filled with 1-2 Rotarians. Please sign up to volunteer here. |

Apr. 06, 2024 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The Rotary Club of Potsdam will host its first vendor/craft fair to benefit its literacy programs. The event will take place on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Market Square Mall, 22 Depot Street in Potsdam. Rotary literacy programs include the distribution of books at Fright Night in October and again during the Holiday Fund Santa's Workshop in December. Potsdam Rotarians have read to elementary students in the past as well. A reading program for seniors is currently being considered.
Vendors will be offered a 6-foot-deep by 8-foot-wide area in the mall for a prepayment of $20. There is a registration form at the link below. We can accept Paypal (click above on "Donate") or a check can be mailed to Potsdam Rotary, PO Box 912, Potsdam NY 13676. All payments and registration forms MUST be received by March 30. A vendor is considered registered when a confirmation email is sent to them with the assigned booth number.
Vendors may begin set up at 8 a.m. and are responsible for supplying their own tables, chairs and display racks. Vendor areas are to be manned from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Because space is limited and we want to offer a variety of vendors, only area one per organization will be offered. Unfortunately, there are no electrical outlets available. The Village Diner will be offering "grab 'n' go" specials that day and there will be a book exchange for adults, with the Rotary Lil Libraries available for children. Bookmarks will be given away while supplies last.
