Margie Sherman Inducted into Potsdam Rotary Club
Margie Sherman of Potsdam, N.Y., was inducted as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Potsdam at its September 28 meeting.
Sherman is the office manager at Plumley Real Estate, LLC. Her husband, Randy, recently purchased the firm. She is in the process of renewing her real estate license and expanding on that to obtain her broker’s license.
Sherman has been a staff accountant/bookkeeper for 22 years, most recently being self-employed with her firm, Accountability, which she started in 2003.
Her main focus has been on balancing client’s accounts, calculating employee wages, completing sales and payroll tax quarterly returns and maintaining up to date financials for most of her clients.
Sherman is proficient with single and double-entry bookkeeping standards, as well as current computerized software systems such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and ATX products. She is also a certified pro advisor for QuickBooks.
Her strengths are her attention to detail and her integrity and diligence to get the job done. She lives in Potsdam with her husband, their two children and their three German shepherd dogs. When Margie is not working, she likes to sail, cross-country ski, make greeting cards, paint and read.
