Group Study Exchange (GSE) is a program funded by The Rotary Foundation with the objective of promoting world understanding and peace. In addition, this program allows the GSE team of five individuals (1 Rotarian and 4 non-Rotarians) to experience the cultural, social, historical, geographical and vocational aspects of life in another Rotary District. In late spring 2007, an exchange will take place between Districts 7040 and 4840 (Paraguay and Argentina). The specific areas to be visited will be determined at a later date.  At this time, the GSE committee is accepting applications for the position of team members.

 

The successful candidates must:

1) be currently employed in any recognized business or profession on a full-time basis and be between 25 and 40 years of age;
2) be in good health to be able to keep pace with the vigorous program of study planned for the team;
3) be proficient in the major language(s) of the host district;
4) be able to express themselves clearly and logically;
5) have a sound, general educational background and cultural awareness;
6) interested and clearly enthusiastic about their chosen vocations and possess outstanding vocational skills;
7) be open-minded, tolerant and flexible;
8) be able to travel 4-5 weeks with their employer's consent;
9) be able to receive a visa to the host country or already have one; and
10) be able to depart from the same location and on the same date as the rest of the team.

All candidates for team member must submit the application form for team member as well as a copy of their curriculum vitae, the names of three references and a criminal reference check.

Deadline for application for team leader is Saturday, NOVEMBER 11 2006
Interviews will be held on Sunday, DECEMBER 3 2006
Applicants will be contacted re the time and place of the interviews
