This year's theme is "Red Carpet," and paparazzi may be on hand! Each ticket includes dinner, dancing (DJ Todd Truax), and one chance at the Grand Prize drawing. Grand prizes will be announced. The Rotary Club of Potsdam invites the North Country community to its annual Potsdam Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament on Friday, May 11, at the Potsdam Town & Country Club. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11:30, and a clam bake celebration afterward. Registrations for foursomes are now being accepted. The cost includes greens fees, carts, lunch, and a clam bake dinner (also available without dinner). The event will take place regardless of weather. Please let us hear from you by April 28. The money raised from the tournament supports Potsdam Rotary's BOCES College Scholarship Program, as well as other scholarship projects, such as a Potsdam High School Scholarship, Dodge Pond summer camp scholarships for developmentally disabled children, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. Please register your team by April 28 and/or submit your sponsorship in support of this great event! |

The Rotary Club of Potsdam will honor Rotarians Chuck Foster and Duane Pelkey with Paul Harris Fellow awards at its 90th Anniversary & Changeover Dinner on Wednesday, June 13, at the Elks Lodge, 10 Elm St. in Potsdam, N.Y. Samantha Polnak will also be installed as 2018-2019 president at the event, while Mary Sue Foster will be honored as outgoing president. The dinner will benefit Local Living Venture, which works to inspire and enable people to adopt more healthy, local and sustainable ways of living. All Rotarians and past Rotarians, members of the community, and family, friends and colleagues of the honorees are invited to attend. A social hour with cash bar gets underway at 6 p.m. A buffet dinner will be served at 7:00. Tickets are available by advance purchase for $25 per person. Checks can be made out to “Potsdam Rotary” and sent to Potsdam Rotary, PO Box 912, Potsdam, NY 13676. All reservations must be received by Friday, June 21. It's that time of year again! Tickets available for the 2018 Rotary Club of Potsdam Rubber Ducky Pluck! The top prize is $500 and tickets are only $5 each! The drawing will be at the Potsdam Summer Festival on Saturday, July 14, at 2:30 p.m. Contact any Potsdam Rotarian, if you'd like to buy tickets. The proceeds send children with disabilities to summer camp at Dodge Pond, as well as benefiting other Rotary community projects. |
